FACT Set to Obliterate UK Sold Out Headline Show: 1 March

With just 20 advanced tickets left for FACT‘s only UK headline show of their current tour, we think it’s safe to say the show will more than likely sell out. And why the hell not! On top of FACT, there’s support from current chart rockers AREA 11 (their first live appearance since their debut album’s release), polytechnic rock from The Social Club, and authentic, scrumptious Japanese street food from Peko Peko Kitchen. Beer, circle pits and yakisoba all round then!

Hitting the stage at 9:30 will be FACT, bringing their flavour of post-hardcore all the way from Japan (and, er, Northwich). In the UK the group had two albums released under Hassle Record, as well as a main stage appearance at Sonisphere Festival. Here, we’d say they’re probably best known for their first major release Fact of Life (it has over 2 million hits on Youtube). After two headline UK tours the group returns with a new guitarist (3 now in total!) and supporting British hardcore group Your Demise. Tonight will be FACT’s only UK headline show of their current tour. Here’s one of our favourite songs:

AREA 11:

On stage from 8:30 is Bristol’s finest Minecrafters AREA 11. The boys released their debut album All The Lights in the Sky earlier this month, and it went straight to the top of Amazon’s MP3 rock chart, and entered at number 10 on the official UK rock chart. Tonight will be Area 11’s first live appearance since the album’s release, and they’ll be supporting one of their music heroes – FACT!

The Social Club:

When we asked FACT to play, we asked if they had any demands. One was to get The Social Club to play with them. We made it happen. If you like rock ‘n’roll guitars, tinkled keyboards or full-throated choruses in the style of Weezer, The Hold Steady or The Get Up Kids, you’ll be in for a treat when these guys hit the stage at 7:30.

About Tom Smith
Some say he's fuelled on nothing but energy drinks, and that when he visits Japan, he spends the whole time engaging the ground in an all too familiar way. But what we do know is that his words on the country's entertainment and culture find their way into NEO Magazine on a monthly basis, while everything else finds its way here. Be it quirky news item from the Land of the Rising Sun, or a story so gruesome it'd be rude not to pass it on, you'll find it here along with his general posts about life, work and most importantly play. And yes, he has had articles printed in the likes of MCV, GamesMaster, 360 Gamer and more, thanks for noticing.
