SPYAIR Release ‘BEST’ Album in the UK and Europe from 12 January

SPYAIR BESTJapanese pop-rock squad SPYAIR will release ‘BEST’ on CD and digital formats in the UK and Europe, collating all 14 of their massive hit singles so far, plus two brand new songs! It’s also the first time many of the songs have been available outside of Japan.

Since smashing on to the scene in 2010 with their debut single ‘LIAR’, which also became the theme song to Japanese TV school drama Hammer Session!, SPYAIR have experienced a mighty ten top-40 singles in Japan and had many of their tracks become theme tunes in anime and film; including The Amazing Spider-Man, Bleach and Gintama. All are included on ‘BEST’.

Due to popular demand, SPYAIR were picked up by London’s JPU Records for European distribution, leading to the group’s YouTube channel being available outside of Japan for the first time. There, the official music videos to the songs included on ‘BEST’ have already racked up viewing figures upwards of 28 million.

FEAR FROM THE HATE Rave It Up With New Single – Out Across Europe

FEAR FROM THE HATE

[L to R:] Sohei (bass), Lidy (vocals), Kouichi (guitar, programming)

FEAR FROM THE HATE - SilverwalkerFEAR FROM THE HATE have been representing Japan’s metalcore scene for the past few years, regularly playing the country’s festivals for loud music, including SCREAM OUT FEST, MOSH IT LOUD and GEKI ROCK, often accompanied with foreign bands. Now the fierce electronic-metal trio are taking the first step at breaking out of Japan by signing with OKAMI Records for a European release of their latest single Silverwalker, out from digital outlets from 15 January 2014.

The group’s biggest success so far has been the music video to their early song PAINT A TRIP PARTY, produced with the maxilla team (they also did Crossfaith’s Omen video, NOISE MAKER’s NEW ERA PV, and plenty of others). The video, right at this very moment, has achieved a mighty 900,000+ views. Click the song title to have a watch. The band themselves say the PV features ‘dance, heavy music, and pop culture with an original Japanese flair’, which also acts as a pretty accurate description of FEAR FROM THE HATE’s sound too.

We’re looking forward to see how their upcoming album shapes up, and cross our fingers for a European tour sometime soon. Until then, here’s the lyric video Silverwalker:

With the success of metalcore act Crossfaith creating circle pits around the world (next stop, the UK for the Kerrang Tour 2014!), attention is suddenly on Japan as fans search for similar bands from the east to quench their thirst for high-energy metal. The next to land a big international management deal is one of our favourite bands from Nagoya; Coldrain. They’ve just been snapped up by Raw Power Management, joining the ranks alongside Bring Me The Horizon, Bullet For My Valentine, and – perhaps not surprising – Crossfaith.

We our totally stoked to be taking this step and can’t wait meet you all!”

Masato won’t have too long to wait to meet you all – Coldrain will be supporting Bullet For My Valentine on their European tour through February and March 2014! They’ll join the Welsh metallers on 21 of their European dates, the full schedule for Coldrain is below.
