Siro-A are a troup of dancers, musical magicians and technical geniuses, who are landing in London from Japan today for three months of shows at the Leicester Square Theatre. Are you prepared to have your mind blown by their incredible show full of light, music and movement?
Combining digital light mapping, two live DJs and a very talented group of dancers, this show treats all your senses. All the music is mixed live by two on-stage DJs throughout the whole show; and the stage itself is transformed into a massive moving mass of pictures mixed with real people. Sometimes you’re completely lost as to what is real and what is an image. The show contains a lot of beautiful performance art alongside comedy and drama. There are very few words used, which leaps any potential language barriers and makes his show a great spectacle for anyone in the family. Also, as an added bonus, the music’s fantastic.
Siro-A won the Mervyn Stutter’s “Spirit of the Fringe” Award at the Edinburgh Fringe and have wowwed audiences of thousands. They are described as the Blue Man Group of Japan, or a next level version of famous Japanese comedians GAMARJOBAT. After seeing this show ourselves, however, we think that it’s so awesome, and so cool, that it deserves to go without comparisons, these guys are a whole new level of charming. So if you’re wondering what to spend your time on, we’ve got the answer; go see Siro-A at the Leicester Square Theatre. And if you need any more persuading, there’s a video below.
Siro-A will be performing at the Leicester Square Theatre from the 1st February – 22d April 2013.
