33Insanity’sVertebra

Stage: 9:30. One of our favourite new unsigned acts from Japan. 33Insanity’sVertebra promise to tear up London with their first overseas show. Helping them do so is model and vocalist Nozomi, bringing a surreal mixture of beauty and brawn to band’s sound.

miette-one

Stage: 8:45. Get ready for a dose of sunshine pop, direct from Tokyo’s most fashionable distract;  Shibuya! miette-one is the solo project of sibuya-kei indie producer Sayuri Hashimoto.

yuki kawana

Stage: 8:00. “There is a reminiscence like of Pavement, Lou Barlow, SONIC YOUTH, PIXIES, and Beck, also the Velvet Underground, which is her roots… chords running through lo-fi sounds in a some what alt / grunge manner, pierced with a unexpectedly strong graceful voice” – HMV review

Jun Okada

Stage: 7:20. Fresh from appearing on stage at Japan Matsuri in Trafalgar Square earlier this month, Jun Okada returns with her guitar in hand to serenade the crowds with the her sweet vocals.

About Tom Smith
Some say he's fuelled on nothing but energy drinks, and that when he visits Japan, he spends the whole time engaging the ground in an all too familiar way. But what we do know is that his words on the country's entertainment and culture find their way into NEO Magazine on a monthly basis, while everything else finds its way here. Be it quirky news item from the Land of the Rising Sun, or a story so gruesome it'd be rude not to pass it on, you'll find it here along with his general posts about life, work and most importantly play. And yes, he has had articles printed in the likes of MCV, GamesMaster, 360 Gamer and more, thanks for noticing.
