toe (with a little ‘t’) will hit the UK for the first time on Sunday 23 September, and the four-piece post rock outfit have already sold out the show at London XOYO. To celebrate their first show in Great Britain, the much celebrated instrumental band will headline an all-day show with support from the likes of This Town Needs Guns, Enemies and six other bands (plus DJs). The Facebook Event page for the show can be found here.

toe consists of Kashikura Takashi on drums, Mino Takaaki on guitar, Yamane Satoshi on bass guitar, and Yamazaki Hirokazu on guitar. The unit combines elements of math, post, indie, jazz and a whole load of other modifiers that can be attached to ‘rock’. We’ve attached the video to one of our favourite tracks below.

The band’s latest EP, The Future Is Now, is available in the UK on CD, vinyl and in MP3 format from They’re also available on Spotify.

Two of their prior albums are available from Amazon MP3, though you’ll have to rely on pricey (and-taking-the-piss) import prices if you want them and other toe albums on CD. Click on the following album titles to check them out on the Amazon MP3 store.

About Tom Smith
Some say he's fuelled on nothing but energy drinks, and that when he visits Japan, he spends the whole time engaging the ground in an all too familiar way. But what we do know is that his words on the country's entertainment and culture find their way into NEO Magazine on a monthly basis, while everything else finds its way here. Be it quirky news item from the Land of the Rising Sun, or a story so gruesome it'd be rude not to pass it on, you'll find it here along with his general posts about life, work and most importantly play. And yes, he has had articles printed in the likes of MCV, GamesMaster, 360 Gamer and more, thanks for noticing.
