Miliyah Kato: Free Olympic J-pop Show at KOKO – 30 July

Japanese pop sensation Miliyah recorded this year’s Olympics anthem for Asia – ‘Heart Beat’ (see below for the video). Joining forces with Coca Cola, a nationwide campaign was launched to find the best young dancers in Japan. The top five groups (each of five dancers) have been invited to perform on stage with Miliyah in London at free concert at KOKO in Camden on Monday 30 July

MTV are producing a documentary of the dancers and Miliyah’s time in the UK, and will be filming their concert in KOKO (nearest tube Mornington Crescent).

Doors open at 6pm, and the show starts promptly at 7pm – don’t miss this rare opportunity to see J-pop live in the UK. And best yet, it’s completely free!

Here’s the official flyer – get spreading it!

About Tom Smith
Some say he's fuelled on nothing but energy drinks, and that when he visits Japan, he spends the whole time engaging the ground in an all too familiar way. But what we do know is that his words on the country's entertainment and culture find their way into NEO Magazine on a monthly basis, while everything else finds its way here. Be it quirky news item from the Land of the Rising Sun, or a story so gruesome it'd be rude not to pass it on, you'll find it here along with his general posts about life, work and most importantly play. And yes, he has had articles printed in the likes of MCV, GamesMaster, 360 Gamer and more, thanks for noticing.
