YELLOW FRIED CHICKENz: Debut Album Hatches As Band Go Separate WAYz

The madness that was YELLOW FRIED CHICKENz, a supposed super-group of Japanese musicians with GACKT at the helm, is soon to be no more. The bunch of odd-balls, which included LUNA SEA‘s drummer SHINYA, RIZE‘s ex bassist U:ZO and the unlikely marrying of Jon, the American vocalist-nobody-has-really-heard-of, announced that they all go separate ways to pursue their own individual careers following their last live show, entitled “Camui Gakuen, Sparkly Male Cram School, Happy Birthday Live, Don’t Cry, Let’s Say Sayonara With Smiles”.

BUT! From 20th June, European and UK YFC fans will finally be able to get their greasy little fingers on the band’s debut (and last!) album YELLOW FRIED CHICKENz I. Released from Gan Shin Records, the CD contains 12 tracks, included the YFC version of Gackt classic ‘Mind Forest’. The CD is available for pre-order right now by clicking here, while the digital version is available from Amazon.co.uk and iTunes UK upon date of release.

About Tom Smith
Some say he's fuelled on nothing but energy drinks, and that when he visits Japan, he spends the whole time engaging the ground in an all too familiar way. But what we do know is that his words on the country's entertainment and culture find their way into NEO Magazine on a monthly basis, while everything else finds its way here. Be it quirky news item from the Land of the Rising Sun, or a story so gruesome it'd be rude not to pass it on, you'll find it here along with his general posts about life, work and most importantly play. And yes, he has had articles printed in the likes of MCV, GamesMaster, 360 Gamer and more, thanks for noticing.
