We’re honoured to be DJing for the mighty Shonen Knife on their 30th anniversary tour! Radio DJ Steve Lamacq calls them ‘Japanese pop punk at its best’ and Nirvana’s Kurt Conbain, who invited the girls to join his band’s Nevermind tour, said ‘when I finally got to see them live, I was transformed into a hysterical nine-year-old girl at a Beatles concert’.

The group’s massive UK and European tour is already under way with several sold out shows already under their belts. We’ll be DJing the finest Japanese punk, rock, indie and pop tunes to suit the occasion at their massive tour finale show in London’s 1,000+ capacity Scala venue.

Tickets are on sale now for £13.50 from WeGotTickets, Ticketweb and See Tickets. Check out the girls’ other tour dates all over the UK and Europe by visiting their label’s website; Damnably. Merchandise and CDs are also available at very reasonable prices!

About Tom Smith
Some say he's fuelled on nothing but energy drinks, and that when he visits Japan, he spends the whole time engaging the ground in an all too familiar way. But what we do know is that his words on the country's entertainment and culture find their way into NEO Magazine on a monthly basis, while everything else finds its way here. Be it quirky news item from the Land of the Rising Sun, or a story so gruesome it'd be rude not to pass it on, you'll find it here along with his general posts about life, work and most importantly play. And yes, he has had articles printed in the likes of MCV, GamesMaster, 360 Gamer and more, thanks for noticing.
