Japan Underground to DJ at the Manga Entertainment 20th Anniversary Party!

We’re honoured to be DJing at Manga Entertainment‘s exclusive 20th anniversary party in London on the 16th of June! It’s invite-only, so sorry regular JPU-ers! (We’ll see you again soon.) Manga’s been fantastic in supporting Japan Underground from the start, and to be asked to play their party means a lot to us – we grew up rummaging through our local VHS shops back in the day in search of some anime goodness, and now the company makes some of Japan’s biggest series easily available in the UK, so it feels great to be able to give the company something back after all the years. Who knows, if it wasn’t for Manga Entertainment, perhaps we wouldn’t have been as interested in Japan as we are now, which in turn could mean that Japan Underground would not even exist. We’ll be on the decks from 9:30, if you have an invite, see you there. It’s also a free bar!

About Tom Smith
Some say he's fuelled on nothing but energy drinks, and that when he visits Japan, he spends the whole time engaging the ground in an all too familiar way. But what we do know is that his words on the country's entertainment and culture find their way into NEO Magazine on a monthly basis, while everything else finds its way here. Be it quirky news item from the Land of the Rising Sun, or a story so gruesome it'd be rude not to pass it on, you'll find it here along with his general posts about life, work and most importantly play. And yes, he has had articles printed in the likes of MCV, GamesMaster, 360 Gamer and more, thanks for noticing.
