Brighton! We’re coming back! Get Friday the 24th of June into your diaries as we’ll be laying down the J-beats as part of the Brighton Japan Festival. We’ll be reunited with our Japanese band buddies No Cars and Kuaigora, who helped raise £6000 with us at We Love Japan earlier this year for victims of the terrible earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan. There will also be music from minimalist psychedelic squad Tenniscoats, who have worked with likes of Satomi and Greg from Deerhoof. Come along, grab some Asashi, maybe even some sushi (the lovely Moshi Moshi restaurant with its conveyor belt sushi is opposite!) and enjoy some exciting new music.

It’s another 18+ event, kids. So bring those IDs or face not getting in.
Tickets are available now online for £8 from www.brightonjapan.com / www.brightonticketshop.com / www.ticketweb.co.uk /www.seetickets.com or can be bought in person or on the phone from: Rounder 01273 325440 / Resident 01273 606312 / Dome BO 01273 709709 / Duke of Yorks Picturehouse Box Office – or what’s left will be £9 on the door.

About Tom Smith
Some say he's fuelled on nothing but energy drinks, and that when he visits Japan, he spends the whole time engaging the ground in an all too familiar way. But what we do know is that his words on the country's entertainment and culture find their way into NEO Magazine on a monthly basis, while everything else finds its way here. Be it quirky news item from the Land of the Rising Sun, or a story so gruesome it'd be rude not to pass it on, you'll find it here along with his general posts about life, work and most importantly play. And yes, he has had articles printed in the likes of MCV, GamesMaster, 360 Gamer and more, thanks for noticing.
